Zoom

Zoom is a cloud-based web video conferencing service. It features video and audio or audio-only meetings and text chat and it lets you record those sessions for later.

Zoom is a free service for you to host meetings of indefinite length between two participants but meetings with 3 to 300 participants timeout after 40 minutes. For meetings with 3 to 300 participants lasting over 40 minutes, a Zoom Pro license is required.

Special Covid-19 note:

Google has made the advanced version of their Meet web video conferencing service available to education customers for free until July 1, 2020. In its favor is the fact that it runs in any popular web browser and does not prompt for installation of a client application (which can trip people up sometimes) and it can record video directly to Google Drive.
