The Workshop activity is a powerful peer assessment tool. Students upload submissions, which are then distributed amongst their peers for assessment based on a grading scale specified by the Instructor.
Add a Workshop activity to a Moodle course site by following these steps:
- Navigate to your course page and click Turn editing on.
- Click +Add an activity or resource in the section where you want the workshop to appear.
- Select Workshop from the activity chooser menu.
- Provide a Workshop name and Description.
- Customize the following:
- Grading settings: Choose a grading strategy and define the maximum grades for both the student's submission and their peer assessments.
- Submission settings: Give instructions for the student submissions and define the allowed file types and sizes.
- Assessment settings: Provide instructions for how students should review their peers' work.
- Availability: Set the open and close dates for the submission and assessment phases.
- Click Save and display.
