Adobe Creative Cloud is a suite of products and services that support creating and managing digital and print content. Colby has a campus-wide license for Adobe, which is available for faculty, staff, and college-owned machines only.

Acrobat – is a family of application software and Web services developed by Adobe Systems to view, create, manipulate, print, and manage files in Portable Document Format (PDF). Illustrator – is a program used by both artists and graphic designers to create vector images. These images will then be used for company logos, promotional uses, or even personal work in print and digital form. Visit Learn Adobe for Illustrator tutorials.
InDesign – is a desktop publishing software application produced by Adobe Systems. It can be used to create works such as posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers, and books. After Effects – is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application developed by Adobe Systems and used in the post-production process of filmmaking and television production. Font Folio – is a collection of more than 2,300 fonts from the Adobe Type Library in OpenType format, which provides enhanced linguistic support, advanced typographic features, and true cross-platform compatibility. InCopy – is a professional word processor that can integrate with Adobe InDesign. InDesign publishes printed material, including newspapers and magazines, whereas InCopy is used for general word processing. The software enables editors to write, edit, and design documents. Photoshop Elements – is a raster graphics editor for entry-level photographers, image editors, and hobbyists. It contains most of the features of the professional version but with fewer and simpler options. The program allows users to create, edit, organize, and share images. Premiere Elements – is a video editing software published by Adobe Systems. It is a scaled-down version of the Adobe Premiere Pro and is tailored to novice editors and consumers. Premiere Pro – is a timeline-based video editing software application. It is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, which includes video editing, graphic design, and web development programs. Visit Adobe Learn for Premiere Pro tutorials.
Presenter – is an eLearning software solution released by Adobe Systems available on the Microsoft Windows platform as a Microsoft Powerpoint plug-in, and on both Windows and OS X as the screencasting and video editing tool Adobe Presenter Video Express. It is mainly targeted towards learning professionals and trainers. In addition to recording one’s computer desktop and speech, it also provides the option to add quizzes and track performance by integrating with learning management systems. How Do I Get It?
Faculty and staff can contact the ITS Support Center to have it installed on their Colby-issued device. Most of this software is also available in Lovejoy 400 and the Bixler Media Lab.
