How to request a name change or preferred name change, or a change in email address

Requests to update name, or for preferred names for employees should be directed to HR (HR@colby.edu)  Students requiring changes to their name should be directed to the registrar's office, (registrar@colby.edu).   Requests to change emails are only accommodated in the case of a name change or if there is a misspelling of the name in the email and can be directed to Account Management.  Requests to change an email for purely aesthetic reasons are generally not accommodated unless there are extenuating circumstances.  If you do need your username/email address changed for the reasons lifted above, submit a request to its-accounts@colby.edu, and Accounts Management will process the request.

After the name change is processed, create a task to the ITS Support team to let them know they need to assist the requester in setting up the new log in for their computer reflecting the name change.
