Keeper Password Manager allows for the secure generation, storage, and sharing of passwords and account information with other Keeper users. Colby ITS administers enterprise accounts for faculty and staff with a business use case.
Here is what you need to know:
- Colby ITS will issue and administer Keeper accounts only for employees who have a business use-case for account/password management. Examples of this include the sharing of account/passwords with other team members for external sites and services, such as merchants, support, and finance.
- A Colby-issued Keeper account is accessed through Okta using your Colby account credentials. A separate user name and password is not needed to access Keeper.
- Personal data should not be stored in a Colby-issued Keeper accounts. If you change positions or leave Colby, the account will be retired along with all data within it
- Keeper offers a free family license for personal use. All Keeper Enterprise users can create a free, Keeper Family Plan for up to 5 family members with unlimited devices. This personal account will remain free on unlimited devices for as long as the business account is active. If your relationship with Colby ends, your Family license converts into a Keeper Free subscription. You may continue to use your personal license on one device, or purchase a Family or Unlimited subscription for all of the premium features. - Colby ITS ended support for LastPass Enterprise accounts in March 2024.

Keeper Onboarding Experience
After the account request has been granted, ITS will create your Keeper account. This process immediately triggers a welcoming email sent from Keeper directly to you. You will need to click on the yellow Set up and Sign In button provided in the welcoming email. Once clicked, you will be taken to the Keeper login page with your email address pre-populated in the Email Address field. You will then click the yellow Next button provided on the login page. This will direct you to Colby’s Okta login page. At this point, you would log into Okta with your Colby credentials. Upon successful login, you will be taken to your Keeper vault and successfully completed your Keeper account creation.
