How can I access LinkedIn Learning?

To access the tutorials and learning tools provided by LinkedIn Learning go to Workday and search for the topic. For help with Workday Learning searches, download the Search, Enroll, or Drop a Course Job Aid.

To access the tutorials and learning tools provided by LinkedIn Learning, use the login button below and authenticate with your Colby username and password.

What is LinkedIn Learning?
LinkedIn Learning offers a library of over 5,000 courses and over 13,000 tutorial videos to help anyone learn software, web design, and business skills. The courses are broken up into short videos (usually 2-6 minutes) and are organized into chapters so you can enjoy them on your own time and at your own pace.
How might faculty use LinkedIn Learning?
One possible use may be to direct students to tutorial videos instead of using class time to cover the topic. For example, how to use Excel. LinkedIn Learning offers the capability to create groups of students and assign them playlists of courses. Faculty members can then track the progress of the students as they work through the playlists. For details on a specialized curated content list email, teched@colby.edu.
How might students use LinkedIn Learning?
Students can use the courses offered through LinkedIn Learning to expand their knowledge of software titles that are required for courses or that might pique their interest. LinkedIn Learning also offers courses in skills such as photography, time management, and interview techniques.
How might staff use LinkedIn Learning?
Similar to faculty creating groups and playlists of courses for students, staff can create these same groups and playlists of courses and assign them to others to work through in cohorts. Cohort leaders can then track cohort progress through courses. Staff can also use the courses offered through LinkedIn Learning to expand their knowledge of software titles that are required for jobs or that might pique their interests.
