Zoom M2 MicTrak Recorder

This guide describes the contents and usage tips for the Zoom M2 MicTrak microphone.

This kit includes a high-quality and user-friendly microphone for interviews, music recording, and more.

The Zoom M2 MicTrak Recorder kit will include:

• Zoom M2 MicTrak Recorder

• Sony MDR Headphones

• Tabletop Mic Stand

• USB-C to USB-A Cable

• AA Batteries (2x in recorder, 2x in bag)

• Micro SD Card

• Micro SD to SD adapter

Setting up the Recorder

Hardware Configuration

1. Check that the microphone has a microSD card (the microSD card slot is located under a silicon flap on the right side of the mic, clearly labelled)

2. Hold the switch on the right side of the microphone down to turn on.

3. Press the red record button in the center to start recording

4. Press the red record button again to add a “mark” in the audio file (to find a spot while editing later)

5. Press the square button to stop recording

6. Add headphones to the headphone jack on the left hand side to hear what the mic is picking up in real time

7. Press the STEREO/MONO button to switch between single channel and dual channel recording

8. Hold the power switch again to turn off.
