Body
The Canon 80D is a powerful camera capable of both video and photography. This kit includes the basics for the use of the camera.

The Canon 80D kit will include:
Setting up the Camera
Hardware Configuration

Make sure camera has SD card and Battery (battery port is located on bottom, SD card port on right side)

Make sure there is a lens attached to the camera body (if not, see Switching Lenses in the next section)

Turn on the camera using the switch on the upper left right beneath the dial.

To take a picture briefly press the shutter button located on the top of the right hand side grip of the camera.

To use the autofocus, press the shutter button halfway down while looking through the viewfinder. Squares will appear to show where in the frame is in focus.

To switch between photo and video mode turn the dial to the left of the viewfinder
Settings
The settings listed here are a very limited list of what is available within the camera. For more information, see the Additional References section below. Run test shots with the camera, and if results don’t look or feel right, ask us for help.
Switching Lenses

Begin by making sure you are in a clean environment. Throughout this process, make sure your camera body never points up (e.g. as you would when taking a picture of the ceiling for instance) to ensure that dust does not accumulate on the mirror.

Remove Current Lens

To the side of the lens, on the front of the camera, below the dial, there will be a button. Hold the button down and twist the lens counterclockwise.

If you are not putting on another lens make sure to put the body cap onto the camera, fitting right onto where the lens was formerly.

Once the lens is removed, make sure that lens caps are on both ends of the lens.

Put new lens in

Remove lens cap from the metal end of the lens (typically this end is slightly smaller)

Aligning the lens parallel to the camera body gently press the lens into the camera body and slowly rotate clockwise until the mechanism engages and the lens locks into place and stops being able to spin in either direction.
Switching Camera Modes:

Depress button on the center of the dial (upper left), then turn dial.
Audio Setup

Find the microphone and headphones in the camera bag

The headphones plug in on the left side of the camera body and receive all the audio from recorded video playback as well as the live audio present in the microphone

The microphone affixes to the mount on the top of the camera, with the knob above the microphone mount tightening it in place then plugs into the left hand side of the camera body, beside the headphone jack
