How do I find my Voicemail pin?

Colby has created a Zoom Phone Voicemail knowledge base article with a step by step guide to help you find your pin code.

NOTE: Colby cannot find your voicemail pin code for you. Your pin code is unique and is only available for you to view in your Zoom Phone account. Never share your pin code with anyone.

Do Voicemails still get sent to email?

Voicemails from incoming calls will be forwarded to your Colby.edu email address with an audio file of the voicemail. You will be able to listen to the calls in your voicemail box on any device you have connected to Zoom Phone (i.e Desk Phone, Zoom Workplace, Zoom mobile app).

Voicemail Transcription in Zoom Phone

Zoom Phone offers automated voicemail transcription, where Zoom will transcribe audio from a received voicemail into text. Voicemail transcription in the Zoom Workplace app is available by default across the Colby Campus, in which transcriptions will appear automatically when you view a voicemail in the app. The current limitations of this service is that it is primarily only available in English and while it is automated, it may not be 100% accurate.

Zoom Phone offers the ability to include the audio transcription in the voicemail notification you receive in your email. This feature is not enabled by default across the Colby Campus, and is only available by request. This is because of the risk of sensitive information being automatically transcribed to text in an email.

It is therefore important for the requestor to understand the risks they may be undertaking when requesting this feature. Individuals requesting this feature should be sure that no High Risk (Confidential) or Medium Risk (Restricted) or otherwise sensitive information that is outlined in the Colby College Data Classification Policy would be received in their voicemail.

If you would like to request emailed voicemail transcriptions to be enabled for your account, please send your request to Colby ITS at support@colby.edu.
