Connecting to CARS with a Secure Connection

This article shows you how to access the CARS platform from a Windows computer with the use of the Secure Shell Client application

1. From the Start menu, locate the application called Secure Shell Client
2. When found, double-click Secure Shell Client.  The following window will appear
3. Click Quick Connect.  The following window will appear
4. Using the below information as a guide, enter appropriate information
   Hostname: cars-login.colby.edu (hostname has changed from cars as of 9/28/2023)
   User Name: username (replace with your Colby username instead)
   Port Number: 22
5. Click Connect
